Cobalt Pride Aesir, Second Year, Beacon Student
Cobalt Pride Aesir
Sex & Gender:
Beacon Academy, Second Year
Cobalt stands strong and proud at a six feet tall and one inch (6'1") and weighs approximately two-hundred and ten pounds (210). His build is Mesomorph, meaning his muscles are well defined and obvious. His body is generally hard, strong and athletic; a body perfect for a warrior and a Hunter. He also a medium fair skin tone; tanning quickly and burning quicker. In the winter he appears pale and almost drained of life. While in the summer he has a fair glow to him.
His hair is a deep azure, mimicking a cloudless sky in the morning. At night or in the dark, this color seems to shift to a cobalt blue, growing darker and pronounced. He wears this blue mane normally long, down to his neck. Occasionally he will tie it up or have it braided for combat. While eyes are a hauntingly bright blue color, the man has a tattoo over his right eye. This tattoo resembles a red spear with lightning coursing around it in a zigzag-crossing pattern.
Cobalt has been described as a willful and strong man that is willing to get his hands on any mission, job, or assignment. While his frontmost thoughts are of doing good for the sake of good there are more self-servicing goals hidden under the surface of his own consciousness. Glory and pride in a well-done deed fuel the young man's ego, leading to his ever-present state of confidence. Challenges offer Cobalt a sense of thrill and excitement. A good fight is always welcomed!
Going into a berserk state once in a while during a good fight isn't the defining characteristic of Cobalt, however. The Huntsmen is good-willed and good-natured. No matter what the scenario, Cobalt will follow the path of the knight. Gallant and noble. At times the young man will think of himself as simply a tool to do good. Even coming to suicidal plans as long as other survive.
Still, there are weaknesses in him. Falling in line and taking orders are huge issues since he has been trying all his life to escape them. Coordinating with others becomes difficult when he senses superiority being held over him. It agitates and irritates him to the point where it is likely he'll disobey on purpose.
Cobalt Aesir is the only child of a Sargent in the Atlas military. The expectation which came with a military household was not the things Cobalt, or Cole, as his few friends called him, wanted. At a young age, his social circle was pretty much picked. Other children spawned from members of Sargent Aesir's units and close friends. Military children all the same. It didn't matter that these children did not interest Cobalt or were interesting to the boy. His father would overshadow all aspects of his life while his mother was almost never in the scene.
Cobalt grew up slowly realizing his disdain for the overbearing and controlling father he had. Making decisions for him as though he were a mere grunt in the military. Cobalt was more, and his value was vastly different than that of a robot or grunt. His early teens were filled with subtle ways to disobey or avoid his father's wishes. They shared similar values; where Cobalt differed was in the execution and ideology of service. He'd rather take on the qualities of a knight, a grand protector rather than a simple soldier. Where a soldier dies namely without glory, a knight was held in nothing but glory and honor. A mind free from constraints and able to think and operate independently.
Before Cobalt was able to enter his hunting academy of choice, the Sargent and Cobalt held a heated argument. During which their verbal bashing became physical. Cobalt was able to fight against his father for only a short time before becoming overtaken by the man's pure strength. Once again being forced to comply with Sargent's wishes. Or so the Sargent would think. Like a spurned colony, Cobalt succeeded and ran away to Vale, applying to and entering Beacon. This action caused Cobalt to be disowned by his family.
While it was sad, this only adds to his goal of proving himself a strong protector and earning a name.
Cobalt is a metal, but also is a shade of blue. Aesir is the name of the Norse Pantheon of gods. I'd prefer if he was sorted into a team by staff.
Dwindling dusk light breached the forest floor as a pack of Beowolves made their way south. Scarlet leaves thirsty for new coats of red laid scattered along the ground. Several seconds of stampeding Grimm kicked up the light and weak leaves before a second force followed after them. This entity batted away the leaves from his field of vision and lifted up a firearm. Report in, Aesir!
Teammates called in over the communication links. A scroll lifted up beside Cobalt's ear was left ideal as the huntsmen took pot-shots.
The sound of dull rumbling was shadowed by thunderous and sharp bursts of gunfire.
"We can't allow them to retreat. A nest might be hidden in that direction. Following them might let us-" A high ping of static cut off the trigger-happy, thrill-seeking student.
Lead you to a death wish? Regroup now or...or The voice over the scroll struggled to convince a punishment which Cobalt would acknowledge Only to be once again interrupted by the sound of huffing nostrils. Bull-like in their anger and exaggeration.
"How about you come find me. When I finish our mission." Cobalt pulled his scroll away and closed it before further arguing could take place. Following a full sprint, a nasty expression twisted the student's face. A part of him understood their point of view. A lone student following a pack of Grimm was not the smartest move to make. He had even hesitated and was thinking of heading back. A simple inkling of supremacy, however, was driving Cobalt forward to a dumb decision. "Fuck it all."
